Summit Guide Dogs is a group of puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Our adult raising group is located in Summit and Wasatch Counties in Utah. The High School raising group is in Salt Lake County.
Our goal is to raise puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind that are trained according to their standards.
We welcome anyone who is interested to attend a meeting or contact us. Raising is a very rewarding experience, however, it does require time and effort to raise dogs that have the foundation to be responsible for someones safety.
We meet 3 Mondays each month, with occasional meetings on Saturdays when needed. Raisers are required to attend at least 80% of meetings and train the dog according to Guide Dogs for the Blind standards.
